Anyone who lived in this parish may have their funeral in this church, whether or not they ever came to a service, and whether or not they believed anything at all.
What to do first
Usually your funeral director will contact us and arrange a date. You are also very welcome to telephone us yourself, before you have arranged anything, if you would rather talk it through first.
What the service is like
Whatever you need it to be. It can be twenty minutes or an hour, with hymns or without, with several people speaking or nobody. We will sit down with you and work it out.
Afterwards
The churchyard is closed for new burials, but ashes may be interred in the garden of remembrance. We keep a book of names, and we read the names out on the Sunday nearest the anniversary each year, for as long as the church stands.
